Sant Esteve de la Sarga
The boundaries of Sant Esteve de la Sarga are Montsec d'Ares and the village of Àger to the south, the river Noguera Ribagorçana to the east and Guàrdia de Noguera to the west.
Following the ravine of Sant Esteve de la Sarga, you will find the shrine of the Mare de Déu de Fabregada, a Romanesque building from the 12th century, which was the parish church and is still a landmark of the village. You can also visit the medieval tower of Alsamora, from the 11th century; the Colomera cave, located 60 m above the river and inhabited from the Neolithic until the Ancient Rome; the Alzina Mill, the small village of Beniure, the ruins of the village of Alsamora, the small castled village of Castellnou del Montsec, the village of Moror or the abandoned les Tombetes where you can find graves dug in the rock.
From Sant Esteve de la Sarga you can access one of the most impressive settings in Catalonia: the Mont-rebei gorge.
