Abella de la Conca
Located at the foot of a cliff, the village of Abella stands out for its houses partially dug in the rock and the Romanesque hermitage of Sant Esteve. Other interesting spots within the municipality are the village of Bóixols surrounding the Romanesque Sant Vicenç church or the Carreu valley, where you can find the shrine of the Mare de Déu de Carrànima which was rebuilt during the 1950s after the destruction caused by the Civil War battles. The church of Sant Pere de Carreu dels Prats and the ruins of the Mare de Déu de Carreu chapel are the main attractions in this area.
