Torre de Capdella
This is one of the largest municipalities in the region and includes the whole Vall Fosca within its boundaries.
The village of Capdella is located over the Capdella hydroelectric plant and it has a great panoramic view over the valley. The houses have a typically Pyrenean architecture and it is worht a visit the Romanesque church of Sant Vicenç. At the foot of the village you can find the old hydraulic power plant, transformed into a museum in 2006 and part of the Museum of Science and Technology of Catalonia. Visiting the museum is highly recommended to discover all the changes undergone by the region of Pallars Jussà, and especially the Vall Fosca at the beginning of the 20th century.
The visit of the other small villages within the municipality is also recommended. You can observe the rich heritage of this medieval villages born and built around beautiful Romanesque churches and hermitages.
From the Vall Fosca you can access the National Park of Aigüestortes and the Sant Maurici Lake.
